Vivo has announced that its X300 smartphone series will be officially available in India on December 2, after the initial launch in China and a subsequent global release. The new series will have two variants: the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro. Just recently, the leaked information is guiding us to the retail price of the entry-level X300 model in India.
As per the leakster Sanju Choudhary, the Vivo X300 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage will most probably be priced at Rs. 89,999 as the maximum retail price, although the sales price may also be lesser than that. Furthermore, the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is expected to be priced at Rs. 74,999, and the 16GB + 512GB model could be available at about Rs. 80,999. It is clearly visible that the price hike of the X300 will probably lead to its direct competition with the Oneplus 15 that was launched recently.
Choudhary disclosed the price of the Telephoto Extender Kit and also elaborated that it would enable the smartphone to get the benefit of the optical zoom feature. The kit will be available for Rs. 20,999 and will consist of 2.35x teleconverter lenses from Zeiss. In addition, it will have an NFC-based auto detection feature that will turn on Teleconverter mode in the camera app when the accessory is attached.
The tipster also mentioned an India-exclusive color for the X300, which may be called Summit Red. The X300 is available in Mist Blue and Phantom Black globally, meanwhile, the X300 Pro, is found in Dune Brown and Phantom Black colors.
Vivo has made a few specification confirmations regarding the X300 series. MediaTek's 3nm Dimensity 9500 chipset will power both models along with the VS1 Pro Imaging chip and V3 Plus Imaging chip to deliver superior photography performance. The new devices will be based on Android 16 platform with OriginOS 6 running on them. The firm will likely unveil full specs and pricing during the December launch event.
